Episode 1:  Guilmon Comes Alive:

A little Digimon is caught in a battle between a DarkTyrannomon and Maildramon. It looks like Maildramon wins, but DarkTyrannomon Digivolves to MetalTyrannomon and crushes Maildramon. The little Digimon is blasted into the real world.
Meanwhile, that exact battle takes place in a Digimon Card Game, being played by two 13 year old boys, Takato, and Kazu. Takato gloats at his great victory while Kazu whines about losing. Kazu runs to school, leaving Takato to put his cards away. Unfortunately, he knocks the box over. However, he notices one card with a strange hologram (a dinosaur's upper half sticking through a capital D) on it. After putting the other cards away, he swipes it through his card reader. The card reader starts sparking, so he puts it and the blue card in his card box, puts them in the secret hiding place, and grabs his back-pack and runs to school.
After being put out in the hall for being late, Takato sketches a red dinosaur Digimon on his note pad. His teacher sees him sketching and he accidentally mouths off to her, getting him in detention. In detention, he is drawing Guilmon's stats when he meets a strange girl named Jeri and her hand puppet.
After school, he goes to the secret hiding place in the park. The clock there is malfunctioning. He finds his card box glowing with electricity. He shakes it and it pops open, spilling out cards and the card reader. The card reader glows and transforms into a Digivice (called a D-Power). He is surprised to find that the Digivice is real, but empty of data.
He rushes home and digs through his cards only to find that the blue card is gone. Takato figures out that the Blue Card transformed the Card Reader into the D-Power and it is not from this world. He tries swiping the sketchpad with Guilmon's pic and stats but it is stuck and he has to go to dinner. However, the D-Power swipes each of the pages on its own. After that, an egg appears on the screen.
That night a Digital Field appears and Takato sees it in his dreams. A girl appears and stares down a Lynxmon. She steps out of the way to reveal her Digimon, Renamon. Lynxmon tackles Renamon. Takato watches on as the girl swipes Speed Card and Renamon dashes out from under Lynxmon. Renamon uses an Attack called Diamond Storm that deletes Lynxmon. Guilmon is seeing it all from inside his egg.
Takato wakes up in bed, Digivice in hand. He looks out his window out a two towered building and comments that there is something weird about them. After speaking briefly to his dad about Digimon, Takato gets ready for school.
Meanwhile, the little Digimon is still amazed by the strange Real World. That morning, Takato tells his friends, Kazu and Kenta about his dream and Digivice. When he says his hands were numb from the rain, they laugh and say he probably wet the bed. Takato sits back in the secret spot and ponders about the girl.
Suddenly his D-Power beeps and he checks to see that the egg has hatched. He uses the map on the D-Power that points to the two Towers. Meanwhile, in the two towered building, a group called HYPNOS is tracing Guilmon, as he is about to bio-emerge. Meanwhile, near the HYPNOS headquarters, A Digital Field appears and a girl named Suzie notices it and points it out to her brother, Henry.
Meanwhile, Takato goes through an alley and under a crawl space and comes out in a sub-level of the HYPNOS building. Guilmon Bio-Emerges and Takato starts talking to him. However, he blasts some rats and turns to Takato. Is he going to toast him too?
Episode 2:  I am your friend Terriermon:

As Guilmon came closer and closer, a scared Takato thought that he was going to be attacked next. He was frozen by fear, unable to move. Suddenly Takato saw something else through his trembling armscGuilmon laughing innocently.

After knowing that Guilmon was not hostile to him, Takato relaxed. But Takatofs real problem started there! Guilmonfs huge size was big trouble. Takato hid Guilmon in a cardboard box and returned home safely, but his parents were somewhat suspicious.

Guilmon came out from the box the moment he was in Takatofs room and started sniffing at Takatofs stuff (like his backpack). Takato found his old goggles under his bed and stuck them on, declaring himself a gDigimon Tamer.h

At that time, the governmentfs Net Control Bureau gHypnos,h detected a new Net World disturbance- a Wild One (meaning a runaway Digimon). They failed to capture the Digimon.

That night, Ruki charged into the Digital Field fog with Renamon to fight the Wild One Digimon. The Digimon was Goblimon, who escaped from the Hypnos earlier. Renamon fought with her strength and grace, but Goblimon seemed to be unaffected. When Ruki Card Slashed an option card (Booster Chip) Culumon neared the spot and allowed Goblimon to evolve to his Adult level, Fuugamon. But Renamon was energized from the option card and destroyed Fuugamon with one shot of her attack- Fox Leaf Arrowhead. Fuugamon exploded and turned into data that Renamon absorbed.

Next day morning, Takato took as much bread as possible from his family bakery and snuck Guilmon in a cardboard box out his room. He hid Guilmon in a construction site with all the bread he took earlier and left for school. Guilmon became lonely and followed Takato. He went around the school searching for Takato in the cardboard box, eventually causing panic to some teachers. After blowing his cover, Guilmon went into the school kitchen and ate the entire school lunch supply of bread. Takato heard about the commotion in school (he was at gymnastics) and found the abandoned cardboard box. He realized Guilmon had followed and started to search for him.

When Takato couldnft find Guilmon anywhere and truly begun to worry, another kid introduced himself to him. Jenrya was also a Digimon Tamer with Terriermon. Terriermon said that Takato wasnft a very good Digimon Tamer since he lost his own Digimon. Takato started crying and blamed himself. He finally found Guilmon on the roof of the school building. Guilmon was happy to see Takato again.

After school, Takato and Guilmon were strolling in Shinjuku Central Park when suddenly Rukifs Renamon attacked Guilmon! Ruki demanded a Digimon battle between their Digimons.

Takato to Guilmon: Guilmon, that's what you just said. That's a Digimon. So there.

The next day the three Tamers head out to find Guilmon. They follow the signal on their digivices, which leads them down a tunnel. Once they reach the end of the tunnel they discover a strange digital field. They enter it, and inside they find Guilmon. Unfortunately, Yamaki has also discovered the field, and begins to delete it. The Tamers barely escape before it is deleted. Takato and Guilmon are now reunited.

Episode 8:  A Question of Trust:

Reports have arisen that someone is disturbing couples in the parks. Takato suspects that Guilmon is to behind it, and gets angry at him. Later on a digital field appears, and Impmon provokes the digimon inside, causing it to bio-emerge. The digimon is Devidramon. He flies over the city, and eventually the Tamers fight him. Guilmon tries to fight him, but he is outmatched. During the fight Terriermon points out that Impmon was the one messing with people in the park. Guilmon is innocent. He is now in the clutches of Devidramon. When Takato realizes he was wrong, his digivice lights up, and Guilmon digivolves into Growlmon. He destroys Devidramon and downloads his data with little struggle. He then lets out a menacing roar that can be heard throughout the city....

Episode 9:  Not as seen on TV.

Growlmon is huge, and Takato is terribly afraid of him. Then he sees that Growlmon is scared too. Takato realizes that it is just Guilmon, despite the fact that he digivolved. Takato tries to make him de-digivolve, but can't seem to do it. They try everything, but nothing works. Takato and Henry decide to try and hide him until he de-digivolves. They hide him in a tunnel, but during the night Impmon chases him out. The next day they decide to hide him in the park and paint him in camoflauge colors. It starts to rain, and the paint runs off of Growlmon. Takato fears that he will never return to Guilmon. Suddenly the rain stops and a rainbow appears. Data is released from Growlmon, and he de-digivolves back into Guilmon.

She is suddenly pulled into a digital field by IceDevimon. He wants her to become his Tamer. Takato and Henry arrive on the scene to fight whatever digimon has emerged, but IceDevimon freezes their digimon. Renamon arrives, but IceDevimon defeats her even when she digivolves to Kyuubimon. Henry uses a card slash to free Terriermon and Guilmon. Guilmon engages IceDevimon, and is able to destroy him with two card slashes from Takato. After the battle, Rika claims she hates all digimon. She and Renamon leave in separate directions.
